Telephone Focus Groups - Qualitative "Pulse" Research

Tele-interview surveys

Telephone Focus groups  are focus group sessions conducted via telephone conference call.  Telephone Focus Groups save a client  considerable time and money in situations where a live, in-person group session is not required. Telephone Focus Groups can be used in many opinion, perception and attitude research projects.

With Telephone Focus Groups, clients can quickly take the pulse of a sample of stakeholders to learn their views and feelings about communications, company issues and changes which are affecting them and any other topics of concern or interest to management.

Telephone Focus Groups are usually conducted in pairs with two sessions for each stakeholder segment group in order to verify findings.

Though Telephone Focus Groups findings are qualitative, directional and not scientifically projectable to the larger population, very often just as with the findings from a series of tele-interviews, they have been shown over many projects to be uncannily accurate in identifying and defining the most important opinions, attitudes, concerns and priorities of stakeholder groups.

Quantitative surveys have repeatedly demonstrated the accuracy of Telephone Focus Groups (as well as tele-interview series) pulse research findings, so much so that, in hind site, some quantitative surveys may not have been necessary.

GuideStar is a pioneer and full-service provider of tele-research having conducted hundreds of Telephone Focus Groupss for corporate communication and HR clients over the past ten years.
